Annual Report 2025

A year of growth across every corner of Sanctus

This past year, we've watched God move in ways both visible and profound. From our five sites to our Connect Groups, from our young people to our serving teams, people have stepped closer to Jesus and deeper into community. What follows is a record of that faithfulness.

Each dimension plays a unique role in forming us into fully devoted followers of Jesus. Below, you’ll find a snapshot of the stories, numbers, and moments that defined our year together.

Our vision

To become a missional church of 10,000 meeting physical, emotional, and spiritual needs in Jesus' name.

Our mission

To glorify God by reaching and enabling people of all ages and nations to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

Celebrate Big

God has been so faithful to our church this year. Across every site, more people gathered to worship, kids filled classrooms with curiosity and joy, and hundreds joined us from across Canada and beyond through our Online Site. With growing attendance, powerful worship moments, and our largest Palm Saturday yet, we’ve seen God draw our community together in beautiful ways. Each Sunday—whether in a gym, an auditorium, a heritage building, or online—He continues to form us as a church that loves to worship Jesus.

Building Community

Connect Small

Throughout this year, Connect Groups continued to be one of the most meaningful ways people grew in their faith and built genuine community. Across every site, groups gathered in homes, coffee shops, classrooms, and online to talk about Scripture, pray together, and walk alongside one another when life felt heavy.

Serve

Share The Work

Serving has always been at the heart of who we are as a church. This year, we saw God move in powerful ways as more people stepped forward to use their gifts, strengthen our ministries, and care for others in Jesus’ name.

This year, we welcomed Pastor Kara Lee Palma as our new Connections & Engagement Pastor, bringing fresh leadership, clarity, and energy to how we help people discover their gifts and step into serving.

Sharing the Work isn’t about independence or dependence—it’s about interdependence.

Engage in Mission

This year, our church stepped boldly into mission work that mattered. From invitational events that opened doors to Alpha groups in unexpected places, from local partnerships that served real needs to a team that travelled to Uganda, we saw God move through ordinary people willing to share His hope.

More about Missions

Alpha reached people in every corner

169 participants explored faith through Alpha across sites, homes, workplaces, and online.

Local service changed lives in Durham Region

Clothing swaps, Serve Days, and invitational events reached hundreds with practical care.

Global partnership brought hope to Uganda

Our team served street-affected youth through Jinja Connection, transforming lives and faith.

Youth missions shaped the next generation

Fifteen students travelled to Toronto, raised $21,000, and five were baptized afterward.

New Staff Members

This year, we welcomed new staff who strengthened key areas of our church. Their leadership is already making a meaningful impact across our church.

Communications & Creative

From storytelling to SEO, the Creative Communications team worked strategically to place the right stories and resources in front of people when they needed them most. They captured meaningful moments, communicated events with clarity, expanded our digital reach, and helped our church see how God is moving across every site.
